Man robs internet cafe, remains at large | Crime

Tampa, Florida-- Hillsborough Deputies currently investigate a robbery of an internet cafe that occurred around 3:15 this morning.

Officials say the suspect remains at large and have provided the following description:

• Black male
• 20 - 30 years of age
• 6'1"
• 180 - 200 lbs.
• medium/muscular build
• Wearing a black hat, cloth or shirt covering face, long sleeve black collared shirt with red/green stripes diagonal across the front, black pants, and black shoes with white trim/soles.

This morning at approximately 3:13 a.m. the suspect entered the Internet Caf located at 5835 Memorial Highway in Tampa carrying a plastic grocery bag, deputies report. 

The suspect used another bag to cover his hand to imply that he had a weapon. After demanding money and receiving what deputies are saying is an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect fled on foot southbound on Memorial Highway.

Officials encourage anyone with any information about the suspect to call the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office at 247-8200.
