Jesuit jumps past the Longhorns 74-37 | HS Sports
It was a runaway game Friday on the campus of Jesuit High School in Tampa as the Tigers made easy prey of the Lennard Longhorns.
From the beginning, you could tell that Lennard was overmatched taking on a strong Jesuit squad that has plenty of playmakers with some height.
In the first quarter, Jesuit got off to a good start by taking a 15 to 6 lead over Lennard. In the second quarter, Jesuit added another 15 as they coasted into halftime with a 30-16 lead.
For some high school teams, this early lead would open the window for a letdown in the second half, but Jesuit wasn't having that as they had an offensive explosion in both the 3rd and 4th quarters, scoring 22 in each.
When the game finally ended, the home team walked away with a solid 74-37 victory over Lennard. Jesuit was lead by Devin Harris, who paced the Tigers with 19, and Jack Fleming added 17 of his own.
For the Longhorns, Caleen Watts scored 13 and Darian Davis had 7 in a losing effort.
