Tampa, Florida -- Visitors to Tampa's urban parks may soon be able to enjoy the great outdoors and stay connected without having to use up any minutes on their cellular plans.
On Tuesday, Mayor Buckhorn released a Request for Proposals (RFP) for a provider who can offer free, outdoor wireless internet access in Tampa's urban parks.
"Wi-Fi will be a draw, particularly for the thousands of visitors who come down to the parks throughout our urban core, and a great amenity for the residents who live around them," said Mayor Bob Buckhorn.
