Waste Watch, an extra pair of eyes | News
Tampa, Florida-- A recent release announces the beginning of a new program, Waste Watch, brought to you in collaboration by Waste Management, Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office and City of Tampa Police Department.
Waste Watch has been described as a neighborhood program to assist law enforcement and emergency services as Waste Management drivers will learn to act as an extra set of eyes and ears for local police, fire department and emergency services.
Drivers from more than 85 collection vehicles will report any suspicious activity that they may witness during their routes six days a week.
Waste Management and its 150 employees in Hillsborough county provide commercial and residential waste and recycling services to 73,000 single-family residences, as well as over 5,000 commercial customers.
